Spirit of RPI

About the team:

The RPI Dance Team is the only nationally competitive dance team on campus. We pride ourselves on being a professional and active club sport on campus, performing at all home games for our football and basketball teams, fundraising on and off campus, and being one of the top-ranked schools in NDA DIII, winning second place for both of our style dances (Pom, Hip Hop) in 2026.

Our team is composed of students coming from competitive, studio, or high school dance teams, as well as those who have little dance experience - or maybe experience in a similar sport, like gymnastics or cheer. For those who are unfamiliar with collegiate-style dance, we practice and perform jazz, pom, and hip-hop. We host auditions at the beginning of the fall semester and the end of the spring semester. Catch us at home football and basketball games at ECAV stadium, practicing at the Mueller Center, or attending Big Red Freakout in the field house. Interested in joining? Attend spring or fall auditions.
